Financial Year Ending: 2025
This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps Pulse Wholesalers Ltd has taken during the financial year ending 2025 to ensure that slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in any part of our business or our supply chains.
- Our Business and Structure
Pulse Wholesalers Ltd serving to end customers over 1000 lines of products; serving individuals to retail and cater businesses. We operate in the United Kingdom. Our supply chains include the countries which we import from, this being Europe and Turkey. - Our Commitment
We are committed to conducting our business with integrity and transparency and to preventing any form of modern slavery or human trafficking in our operations or supply chains. We uphold the principles of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and expect the same high standards from our suppliers and business partners. - Policies and Governance
We have implemented the following policies and procedures that support our commitment to ethical labor practices:
- Supplier Code of Conduct – which sets clear expectations on labor rights, working conditions, and ethical sourcing.
- Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy – outlining our zero-tolerance approach and our internal reporting mechanisms.
- Whistleblowing Policy – allowing employees and third parties to report concerns confidentially and without fear of retaliation.
- Due Diligence and Risk Assessment
We regularly assess our supply chain risks by:
- Identifying suppliers operating in high-risk countries or industries.
- Evaluating supplier practices through self-assessments, audits, and third-party platforms.
- Conducting background checks on new suppliers and monitoring existing ones for non-compliance.
We prioritize engagement and corrective actions over disengagement where possible, encouraging continuous improvement.
- Training and Awareness
We provide training to key staff involved in procurement, HR, and compliance to help them recognize signs of modern slavery and understand how to respond appropriately. Awareness programs are also shared with suppliers through onboarding and contractual terms. - Effectiveness and Performance
To measure the effectiveness of our efforts, we track:
- Completion of supplier assessments and audits
- Training participation rates
- Number of reported incidents and actions taken
- Supplier compliance rates with our Code of Conduct
- Future Steps
In the coming year, we aim to:
- Strengthen supplier audit protocols
- Enhance data collection tools for risk mapping
- Expand training to more areas of the business and key suppliers
